Kram Sadiq

Senior Associate

Kram is an economist who specialises in project appraisal, evaluation and the economic impact of major projects.  He has over twenty years' experience of working on economic development issues in the UK and overseas.  Having started his career in local government in the West Midlands he then worked for the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES) and, after a period working overseas, joined the Strategy and Economics team at KPMG Consulting.

He has a wide range of experience working for Government Departments, Homes & Communities Agency, Local Enterprise Partnerships and private developers on the appraisal of growth and regeneration schemes. He has been involved in the appraisal of public investment for infrastructure, mixed-use developments, business parks, science and technology projects and leisure, tourism and cultural facilities. This work has focused on conducting Green Book and ERDF appraisals for schemes including for example Daresbury Science Park, Liverpool Arena and Conference Centre, Sunderland's New Wear Bridge and Bradford City Centre Business District. He has conducted evaluations across a range of projects and programmes from venture capital funds, to public and urban realm and regional tourism investment.

He has undertaken a range of assignments in the energy and environmental sector including funding for university based facilities for nuclear decommissioning and the new nuclear programme, the development of nuclear supply chains and business clusters, establishing low carbon funds and evaluating carbon reduction programmes.
