Local delivery models

Local authorities and other public agencies are engaged in complex arrangements of potentially overlapping partnerships.

GENECON can help to review local strategy and delivery partnership structures, improve local delivery efficiencies and enable agencies to better utilise local capacity to support place making and economic development.

We have:

  • prepared RGF Scheme Delivery Plans for business growth programmes in Northumberland, Nottingham and Hastings;
  • reviewed the performance of 'Blueprint', a local asset-backed vehicle in the East Midlands;
  • led the establishment, evaluation and transition of Urban Regeneration and Economic Development Companies, including in Leicestershire, Derby, Sunderland, Bradford and Cumbria;
  • advised on the transition of special purpose delivery companies established by RDAs, including SEEDA's Brownfield Land Assembly Company (BLAC) and East Kent Spatial Development Company;
  • developed business cases for Local Asset Backed Vehicles, including the South East England Property vehicle and a North East Property Fund;
  • advised on Business Improvement District establishment across the North West;
  • advised on local service improvements including for city centre management in Bradford and regeneration delivery in the Black Country.
