GENECON acquisition by RSBG
National economic consultancy GENECON has been acquired by RSBG,
a progressive and forward-thinking investment group. RSBG brings
together a network of specialist consultancy businesses to support
innovative and agile approaches to urban economic change. GENECON
joins the RSBG group of companies, comprising of 36 brands
with 6,000+ staff working across 25 countries focused on
four distinct sectors: Infrastructure, Automation and
Robotics, Advanced Manufacturing and Information and
Communications.
GENECON will strengthen RSBG's national and international
capability in strategic consulting and financial advisory services
in the urban development and economic infrastructure sector,
focused on delivering change and innovation within the core
investment pillars of clean growth, technology,
sustainable urbanisation and demographic change.
GENECON will continue to operate as an independent economic
management consultancy focused on its established service areas -
Making Cases, Changing Places, Innovating Policy and Organising
Delivery, to support national and local Government and the
development sector to optimise place-based investment plans and
socio-economic infrastructure projects. GENECON has built a
national reputation for robust and incisive economic analysis and
creative approaches to economic strategies and project
case-making.
As part of the RSBG group GENECON will grow and extend its
capacity and capabilities to support clients across the United
Kingdom and further afield. GENECON will continue to operate
independently, building on established client and business
collaborations, supported by the broader resources of the RSBG
network.
Since 2004, GENECON has become a leading independent economic
development consultancy in the UK. With support and investment from
RSBG, GENECON founder and Managing Director, David Tuck, will seek
to build on the vision, knowledge and experience of the established
consultancy team and broaden the GENECON offer to clients through
exciting collaborations across the RSBG group, targeted recruitment
and new service lines, while maintaining focus on core business in
place economics.
